Live chat. If you use the chat window on our site, we receive your messages and any name or email address you choose to share.

Booking a call. If you schedule a call through our online booking tool, we receive the details you provide when booking, such as your name, email address and appointment time.

Payments. When you pay a deposit or subscribe to a plan, your payment is processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of the payment and basic details like your name and email address, but we never see or store your full card number.

Email and phone. If you email or call us, we keep a record of that conversation.

Information Collected Automatically

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, such as which pages are viewed and how people find us. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information like your approximate location, browser, device type and the pages you visit. It does not give us your name or contact details.

Security and server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider and security software record technical information such as IP addresses, browser type and the time of each visit. We use this to keep the site secure, for example to block repeated failed login attempts and malicious traffic.

Cookies. Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Our site uses cookies for analytics, for the live chat window and to keep the site secure and working properly. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some features, such as live chat, may not work correctly without them.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to reply to your questions and quote requests, schedule and hold calls, provide and bill for the services you purchase, send you messages about your project or account, improve our website and services, and keep our site and systems secure.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing.

Who We Share Information With

We share information only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed for them to do their job. These currently include our website host (DreamHost), Google (analytics), Tidio (live chat), Setmore (call booking), Stripe (payments) and our email provider. Each of these companies handles your information under its own privacy policy.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep form submissions, chat history and emails for as long as needed to respond to you and to provide our services, and for a reasonable period afterward for our records. Client billing records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, as described below.

How We Protect Information

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), a security firewall, login protection and regular software updates. No website or online service can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices and Rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, correct it or delete it by emailing contacts@damagebureau.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking using Google’s browser add-on, and you can unsubscribe from any email we send by replying and asking us to stop.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under your state’s laws. We will honor those requests as the law requires.
